“If you have lived in the City of Rockingham for more than fifty years, I encourage you to register for this year’s Pioneers Luncheon.”
The City will host a luncheon for eligible residents on Friday 26 October and the Mayor encouraged any prospective applicants to register with the City before Monday 3 September.
“People not already registered can telephone the City to register or download a registration form from the website.
“I look forward to seeing all our pioneers at the luncheon in late October.”
City of Rockingham Freeman of the City and Pioneer Luncheon Working Party member Mary Davies is already preparing for the Luncheon: “We are planning to use the 2012 Year of the Farmer as our theme for the luncheon”
“We are asking for anyone with photographs or information with a Rockingham Farming theme to let us know so we can hopefully use it in our displays for the luncheon.”
