Community Group Capital Grants (CGCG)
Council's CGCG Scheme provides financial assistance to community groups to develop, modify, upgrade or extend recreation facilities located on land vested in the City. Funding from the CGCG Scheme is often used to assist Council and community groups in seeking further funding through the West Australian Department of Sport and Recreation's (DSR) Community Sport & Recreation Facilities Fund (CSRFF) Scheme. The CGCG is advertised from August to September each year for consideration at Council's October meeting. September – Last Friday of Month – CGCG applications due October – Last Tuesday of Month – Presented to Full Council Meeting October – Last Friday of Month – Application lodged with DSR (if CSRFF also applied for).
Council's Travel Donations policy provides financial support to Rockingham residents traveling outside of Western Australia to participate in National or International club or sporting events. Please download the Travel Donations Policy.
Applicants are to provide the following:
1. Letter/Document confirming of selection for event from Home Club or State Sporting Association.
2. Written request from applicant. Please download the Travel Assistance Pro-forma.
3. Email application to
with TRAVEL in the subject line, Post to PO Box 2142, Rockingham DC WA 6967 or hand deliver to Council's Recreation & Culture Department.
