Seniors Security Subsidy Scheme
The City of Rockingham Seniors Security Subsidy Scheme assists residents to improve the level of security of their homes by contributing to the cost of a range of security devices. Holders of a valid Seniors Card can benefit from the scheme, and are able to choose one or more items to be installed in their homes. The limit on the amount of subsidy paid is $100 to one Seniors card holder, per household, per financial year.
On 1 July 2009 the State Government introduced a Seniors Safety and Security Rebate Scheme. WA Senior Card holders can claim a one off payment of up to $200 towards the cost of installing a range of home security items. The scheme finishes on 31 March 2012. The City of Rockingham wi recommend any suppliers for installation, local Security device suppliers/installers can be found in the Localink, or RMK directory.

Safety for Seniors Program
Safety for Seniors is a program run by the City of Rockingham and supported by the local Police. It aims to encourage a proactive approach to community safety and crime prevention, increase participation in safety initiatives and to provide education around safety, for seniors in the Rockingham community.
In addition to the member pack will also receive the following services:
- A free home security appraisal check list and engraving of valuables in your home
- A free personal attack alarm
- Registration for the Safety for Seniors phone link service (monthly safety follow up calls)
