Rockingham Beach Family New Year's Eve Celebration

Since 2001 the City of Rockingham, with generous sponsorship support from local business and the State Government, has presented Perth's largest free community New Years Eve Celebration at the Rockingham Foreshore. More information on this event will be advertised towards the end of the year.

Australia Day Sandcastle Competition

The sandcastle competition held on the beach was a great success with prizes for both boy and girl in each of the three categories. The winners below are for the category of children aged 0 - 4 on the left and aged 9 - 14 on the right.

Indigenous Art Award

WA Australia Indigenous artists were invited to submit their artworks in drawing, painting, ceramic, print-making, textile and mixed media artforms. The artworks were showcased as part of the Australia Day celebrations with judging of the artworks taking place later on in the day. Amanda Zadow was the winner for both the People’s Choice and Major Art Award categories. View Artistic Works & Culture Webpage for more information.

Castaways Sculpture Awards

Eight days of fantastic outdoor public art exhibited on the boardwalk by WA professional and emerging artists, creating works of art using recycled materials and found objects. For further information visit the View Artistic Works & Culture Webpage for more information.

FRISK

The annual week long Youth Festival presented by the City of Rockingham Youth Services in association with Healthways’ Smarter than Smoking as part of National Youth Week. Activities include in-school workshops, live music, art and skate competitions, sporting matches and the inaugural FRSK ball.
